into custody yesterday ask charged with felony vandalism following the giants world series win. police tell us diaz is a man in this pictures, swinging a skateboard against the bus windows. officers are still looking for this man, who smashed the bus with a metal barricade. >> people in contra costa county continue to show their support of a local chp officer killed in the lean ever duty. about 100 people gathered for a fundraiser last night to honor highway patrol officer kenyon youngstrom. he was shot during a traffic stop in september. was it just after the 680 freeway in alamo in september. the man who shot him was killed at the scene by another officer. officer youngstrom died the next day at the medical center in walnut creek. proceeds from the banquet will hip his wife, karen, and their four children. she was especially touched by how many people turned out. >> i am in awe how much people have showed their love and support for us. it's really just beautiful. >> event organizer carolyn wilson didn't even know officer youngstrom and didn't meet his wife until last night but she, too, is m

. amy hollyfield joins us live from the neighborhood to find a wall of mud. they have done a lot of prep work. >> they 6. there is a light rain falling right now. they know it is coming this weekend. they want people to be vigilant and if they see any trouble to give them a call right away. city officials have spent the last couple of days preparing the park and hillside for this storm. park is now surrounded by hay bales and netting also borders the problem area. they have uncovered the storm drain in the middle of the park. >> what we're trying to do is let the water that would fall go into the curb and gutter. not to suggest we're going to have muddy water but we won't have the water that we had tuesday morning. >> reporter: this is what they are trying to keep from happening. a pipe broke causing 45,000 gallons of water to spew into the neighborhood along with mountains of mud. it was a gross mess. residents don't want to see the rain shake loose any of that mud. they are worried that the holidays has been weakened and it could happen again. city employees feel like they have taken e

morning, everyone. thanks for joining us. i'm carolyn tyler. let's start with a first quick look at the weather with our meteorologist lisa argen. hi, carolyn. good morning, everyone. a live look outside. it is dry. that front moved through quickly. yes, bra the heaviest rain to the north bay. over an inch there with about a half-inch around the central bay. live doppler 7 hd shows the front moving through the central valley. the sierra nevada they have and really very little left of it. we are looking at the temperatures dropping. the winds are calm and the numbers into the lower 40s this morning in our north bay valleys. chance of an isolated shower still remains this morning with 40s and 50s around the bay. by this afternoon upper 50s coast with some sunshine, to the low 60s. we will be dry and then for tonight look for a few more clouds. our dry weather not going to last all that long w will have the details on our next dance of rain coming up. >> with more showers expected, people who live in areas prone to flooding and mood slides are watching the weather. they are very ner
